I picked up this little gem, The Little Gardeners Guide, at our local Australia Post Office. It is a spiral bound, 60 page book filled with lots of colourful pictures and illustrations. I have to read it to the Darlings (who are 4 and 5) but as it is heavily picture based, the Darlings can easily read along.
The book is all about being a Little Gardener, starting with exploring the garden, basic facts about plants and wildlife, and moving on to how to grow plants. There are sun safe messages, ideas for keeping seedlings alive (I must read that bit again) and a how-to for building a compost bin.
I think it is a great little book for sparking the imagination.

Hello there. Just found your blog and am loving the sound of it. Might have to go back and see how you get your fussypants to eat well. Can always use more of those tips :O)
Thank you Caz. It is a slow process!
